One may assume that playing a transgender is different, but I'm simply playing a third gender. Why should it make my acting process any different?

Mum's always been a go-getter and passed on the same values to us. From starting her own supermarket to learning new things and staying updated on technology and applications, she's always constantly learning and growing as a person. So, I didn't have to look outside the house for a role model because my mum was right there, ambitious and driven.

It was only after a visit to a learning centre, where they taught me public speaking, that my personality emerged.

I didn't think acting would be a lucrative career.

I am looking at acting in a different way now. I always looked at it as equity to build the other things I was doing; now, I consider it a career.

When I told people in Dubai that I am going to leave my job here and head to Mumbai, they were convinced that I will not survive in the dust, grime, pollution.

I'm so glad that we have had so many consequential rallies and parades which have now educated people and made them stand up for the third gender and give them the absolute place in our society that they deserve. There should have never been a division in the first place, though.

In the world we live in, where we say we need equality, we don't think highly of ourselves. We don't give much importance to ourselves. We are cheerleaders of equality, but how much do we believe in it? Because if you do, then you will be the voice of change.

I didn't always know that I want to be an actor, but I always knew I wanted to be famous in anything that I do.

I am constantly looking around asking for tips from my co-actors. I want to learn as much as I can and as fast as I can.

Fashion, to me, is being individualistic.
