I was very sheltered growing up, so the only real beauty exposure I had was my mom. And still, to this day, she is my number 1 beauty icon.

The time I felt most beautiful was probably when I was in college, and I was starting to accept who I was as a person. I wasn't hiding who I was anymore, and I was like, 'You know what? I'm growing up; I don't have to follow the rules anymore.'

Sometimes people have to go through hard times just to get to a happy place.

I've always been consumed by things that are out of this world, like space and moons.

Honestly I believe that men can wear makeup, teach makeup, and vlog about it just as much as girls can, and I am fighting for that equality with my channel.

I believe that society needs to be more open and accepting of things that are seen as 'different.'

I feel like makeup is a part of me, but it's not who I am completely.

I would say the hardest part in the Latino world is approval from your parents. It's such an intense thing.

To me, being beautiful is just accepting myself. I feel beautiful when I'm wearing makeup; I feel beautiful when I'm not wearing makeup.

Don't be scared of what people will say.

I've gone through all of it: I've literally heard every single name in the book be told to me. So don't be discouraged by anyone as long as you're confident in yourself, and just keep doing what you're doing.

I love using blotting paper when people are oily in the T-zone.
