Growing up, I didn't have a chance to watch a lot of films. It wasn't until my teen years that I had to chance to see the classic films.

For me, learning about cinema and the craft and the art of it, through making films with great people, has been such a cool experience.

I was late to the franchise; 'Days of Future Past' was the first X-Men movie I saw.

Since I was a kid, I've always been obsessed with animation.

I like films that are about people and real, and honest films that are authentic depictions of real-world problems.

My dad and I are, like, best friends.

Everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin. Whether there are social standards set in place that act against that, it doesn't matter because the people that love you for who you are are going to love you always, and you should love yourself always.

There's not anyone in particular I'd like to work with. I just want to continue doing work that I have a passion for.

There's a lot of love in my house. I have the greatest parents ever.

I think my passion for cinema really started when I was on the set of 'Mud' and my third film 'Joe.' That's when I really started to fall in love with the art of filmmaking.

I love South Africa.

There are films of mine that I've seen numerous times and other ones I've been in that I haven't seen at all. It depends on my experience making them.
