I've always been a strong family advocate. I had a wonderful family growing up.

Nobody just said, 'Here, be a star!' I've joked many times that I was a seven-year overnight success.

I was the singing voice of a cartoon character. I did dog food commercials. I did a lot of commercials, actually, and helped pay my rent and my classes. Then I'd get one good line or two good scenes. I was building my career and building my own experience and learning technically what it was like to be on a set and all of those things.

You think you're in control, and you're trying to get that square peg in that round hole. You're frustrated, and you realize that you're not in control of everything. You need to just step back and let God.

I only had one focus and one direction, and I knew where my spirit and heart lived, and it was in singing and dancing and acting, being that. I know a lot of young people dream that, but it's good that it worked out for me because it was all I ever wanted to do.

I'm not a nervous flier. I realize it's still the safest form of travel.

I'm terribly sad about Farrah's passing. She was incredibly brave, and God will be welcoming her with open arms.

My mother has rheumatoid arthritis. I don't want to lose the ability to jump up and walk across the room or move around with the energy I'm used to having. That's far more important to me than a wrinkle or two.

I love kids. I wanted more. I have two, but I would've had six or seven... I would have done that if I could.

Two things I take very seriously in life. My golf game and my relationship with God. Neither one is simple.

Golf has been such a gift in my life, and I've enjoyed it so much and enjoyed lots of wonderful times on the golf course with my husband first, and then I got to play in all these celebrity tournaments. I'm often the only female celebrity in the tournament, hence the term 'Token Chick.' So it's been such a great, great gift in my life.

I think life has a way of kicking you in the pants too, but you have to pick up and move ahead, and it certainly helps if you have a good partner in life.
