I always feel that when I come to Edinburgh, in many ways I am coming home.

It would be wonderful to think that the future is unknown and sort of surprising.

I mean, language fascinates me anyway, and different words have different energies and you can change the whole drive of a sentence.

The mind uses its faculty for creativity only when experience forces it to do so.

I find it hard to write with writers sometimes because of their way of writing. Some are heavily focused on structure, but I have more of a 'Let's go with it' mindset. I like to be creative, and when I hear something that inspires me, I'll come up with a melody, a lyric to that melody, and take it from there. I try to keep it open.

I wasn't granted the opportunity to fight some of the best guys in the world. And that was something that was not on my end by any sense of the imagination.

I would find myself laughing and wondering where these ideas came from. You can call it imagination, I suppose. But I was grateful for wherever they came from.
