Ten commandments yet seven deadly sins: conflict?

I began doing writing projects and art and design projects to explore a new way of seeing Canada. Roots is one more way of continuing this exploration. I want to present a wide-open Canadian sense of color, adventure, communication and openness that defines our country.

Adventure without risk is Disneyland.

Your brain forms roughly 10,000 new cells every day, but unless they hook up to preexisting cells with strong memories, they die. Serves them right.

I think sometimes it's hard, parent's expectations, wanting to be seen by the people in your family and feeling that you can't do that, you can't get them to see you the way that you want to be seen, and come to an understanding or find a way to talk that doesn't revert to bad habits.

I have a big family. Even though it's only three kids in our family, it's always aunts and uncles and the whole thing.

I want a family someday and I know that I have to let love in to create that and I think there is someone out there for me, but I'm not on some crazy hunt for that right now.

I am a much happier 27-year-old than I was at 20 years old. I am so fortunate because I have an amazing family, amazing friends and a great support system.
