Learning is not just a labour market or economic growth issue. It is an integral part of human development. We learn from birth to death.

At a collective level, learning is an essential link in our society.

Every industrial revolution brings along a learning revolution.

In the wake of digitalization megatrends such as mobile Internet, the Internet of things, and big data, digital innovations are creating development opportunities faster than ever.

I felt lost in endless spools of social media. All the while, emails by the thousands were piling up, phone calls were getting lost in the mix, and messages from the most important people in my life were getting drowned out in the din. I was more responsive to comments on Instagram than to my own closest friends and family.

Online I see people committing 'social media suicide' all the time by one of two ways. Firstly by responding to all criticism, meaning you're never going to find time to complete important milestones of your own, and by responding to things that don't warrant a response. This lends more credibility by driving traffic.

I think India has several advantages in the knowledge sector, in the software sector.

I will talk about two sets of things. One is how productivity and collaboration are reinventing the nature of work, and how this will be very important for the global economy. And two, data. In other words, the profound impact of digital technology that stems from data and the data feedback loop.
