It is a long time now since I started running but I still remember running up and down hills and running to school as a kid. When I was young I would run for fun and I didn’t know back then that this would be my career.

I wake up at 5am, by 6am I’m on the way to training. I come back and relax, have lunch, take a little nap, then train again at 4pm for an evening run. Then relax, dinner and bed at 9pm until the next day."

Others will absolutely be able to break 2:00, too, as long as they believe in themselves.

My mind is always free. My mind is flexible.

The reality of football rests on that patch of green between 90 and 95 minutes. Whichever team is going to win has to do it on the field of play and by scoring more goals than the opposition.

Apparently, the things I do outside of the football are not taken as positives. I don't care, but sometimes it amazes me.

I remember, when I was growing up in Baltimore, we'd get on a streetcar and go down to see the Orioles, and for a couple of bucks, you could get a pretty good seat. Kids can't do that anymore. So I think that changes the whole nature of sports.

With persistence, dedication, and especially with the hand of God, I came to be recognized as the best player in the world, world champion, among many other important titles in the history of football.
