My whole family are in the entertainment industry. It is always something I was used to; I was quite lucky growing up. To all my friends, it was quite exciting, but to me it was quite normal.

Trees and bones are constantly reforming themselves along lines of stress. This algorithm has been put into a software program that's now being used to make bridges lightweight, to make building beams lightweight.

Margaret Atwood and Ursula K. Le Guin were the biggest inspirations for my work because they trod into areas considered to be owned by male writers and created these worlds that are infused with an understanding of so much more than just technology.
