My design philosophy has always been eclectic.

Styles are so fluid, forever changing, that as a designer, you have to keep learning and keep growing your tastes, along with catering to the needs of your client.

We have lots to learn in India when it comes to design, and that includes me! I'm constantly learning; that never stops.

Everyone doesn't necessarily have to be a career woman.

Theater will never, and never has, gotten audiences like film. But theater goes to work on society in a different and more subversive way.

I didn't have the equipment for the regular world of being a lawyer. I didn't have the imagination for that. I did have a funny kind of ambition, but I didn't know where to put it.

Grant that the true organ with which the beautiful is apprehended is the imagination, and it follows that all arts are likely to affect the feelings indirectly.

When I say art influences me, which it does, it's not at all in a literal form. You go and see exhibitions or collections or meet an artist. It's all a compilation. Every moment, at all times, all this information. Then all this information disappears, and it shows up later in the process.
