When they look back on me I want 'em to remember me not for all my wives, although I've had a few, and certainly not for any mansions or high livin' money I made and spent. I want 'em to remember me simply for my music.

Normally, things are viewed in these little segmented boxes. There's classical, and then there's jazz; romantic, and then there's baroque. I find that very dissatisfying. I was trying to find the thread that connects one type of music - one type of musician - to another, and to follow that thread in some kind of natural, evolutionary way.

I work to please my audience.

Religious freedom is one of the most fundamental of human rights because religious freedom comes from the dignity of the human being as God's creature.

There are many talented people who haven't fulfilled their dreams because they over thought it, or they were too cautious, and were unwilling to make the leap of faith.

God is teaching me to really just take small increments towards Him every single day. One thing about Jesus. He's always walking towards us because he wants to guide us. But all we have to do, we have to be willing to be vulnerable and take steps towards Him.

Intelligent design is consistent with any faith system I can think of, because most faith systems believe that there is a creator.
