I thank God tonight for freedom - those who bought and paid for it with their lives in the past - those who will protect it in the present and defend it in the future.

Patenting and purchase of lands are absolutely vital to the health of Nevada's rural communities.

I want to know how these very people who are against war because of loss of life can possibly be the same people who are for abortion? They are the same people who are for animal rights, but they are not for the rights of the unborn.

I am humbled and grateful for the four years the people of the state of Nevada have given me as governor and I am proud of the work we all did.

Any new legal measures, or cooperative arrangements between government and companies meant to keep people from organizing violence or criminal actions, must not be carried out in ways that erode due process, rule of law and the protection of innocent citizens' political and civil rights.

Our government strives to create an independent and impartial judiciary that applies the law without bias or favoritism. And we are incorporating into our security forces all Iraqis who have taken up arms to defend their families and communities.

I think the government has to reposition environment on top of their national and international priorities.

My passion for strengthening the community and making peoples' lives better is stronger now than when I first got into politics.
