Growing up, I never heard my parents curse, never. The first time I ever said a curse word was with my sister Kim.

I'm learning to trust other people to do things. My time is limited, and I'd rather be spending it with my kids.

My mom and I had a kids' clothing store called Smooch for six years, and I did all the buying before I even had kids.

My sisters and I are very hands-on with our collections. I am really passionate about kids' clothes.

I wanted to create a line for women and men alike that would encourage them to embrace the harmony and divine balance of sensuality and spirituality within all of us. Forplai is an opportunity to not only smell good and feel good, but to also take time to connect with the heavens above and the god in you.

I am willing to believe, but I do not have the gift of faith. I'm skeptical.

People give because they identify with Burning Man, with our city, with our civic life. The idea of giving something to the citizens of Black Rock City has enormous appeal to them because it enhances their sense of who they are and magnifies their sense of being. That's a spiritual reward.

I was successful materially, but I know life is much more than worldly success. I saw all these blessings God had given me. The way to give thanks is obedience to God.
