In the year since we brought things into the open with a clean breath of fresh air at City Hall, we have learned about corrupt spending practices and unethical conflicts of interest that waste your money... and keep Dallas from being the great city of our dreams.

It's wasteful spending like this that not only forces tax increases and cuts in vital services... but also really make you wonder: who is City Hall looking out for?

Others like City Hall the old way, when they could make deals behind closed doors with your tax money.

If there's one thing I hope people are certain of it's this: I'm looking out for YOU - the taxpayer.

My favorite uncle died when I was eleven, and that was two months after 9/11, so that was a particularly difficult time with my family.

I got into psychology simply because that's what my sister did, and I grew up in a family that was very, like, 'Follow your sister's footsteps.' I went to the same school she went to, did the same degree she did... really had no interest in it, to be honest.

When the second one wasn't happening, I ended up doing an episode of 'Who Do You Think You Are?' for the BBC, and went on a roots trip from England to Kenya, India, and pre-partition India in Pakistan, where my family originally came from.

Eccentricity has never been discouraged in our family.
