The story that I wanna tell is pretty much about the way I grew up. Being bi-racial, growing up in a big city and being an artist.

It was amazing to me that, all of a sudden, I was hearing my music on the radio and coming out of cars.

I am still into the people I listened to growing up, so I completely remember what is like to be a fan, I haven't changed.

I feel like I'm only in the beginning of my career. I've only made five albums. It's not a lot.

If I start a film of my own, then what I eliminate is acting in other people's movies. Because once I start, and I go raise the money, it's about two and a half or three years, and I can't stop. I have people hired. I can't say, 'Ooh there's a good part called 'Drive'; I'll see you in three months.'

But, gentlemen, can any of us say that as a result of such overwhelming sacrifices of money, of men, of ideals, and of civil dignity the sense of security has indeed been attained?

I saw Spurs as being a very good fit for me - but we were unable to agree financial terms with them... With hindsight, though, that was not a disaster.

Artists should be able to thrive and allow their ideas to flourish as much as those in biotechnology or finance.
