When I was growing up and until I got married, I had some times when I felt a bit lonely and a little bit isolated - even after I got married.

When I was growing up, I didn't have tons and tons of friends.

When I was working at the game company, I wasn't just doing graphic design, I was doing the entire product management, so I would do the graphic design, I would create the advertisements, even the catch copies. I would figure out what kind of packaging and design of the packaging, so I was basically doing total product management at that time.

When I made 'Voices of a Distant Star,' I wanted to make money from making that movie, of course, but that wasn't my major reason.

Nothing makes you feel better than when you get into a hotel bed, and the sheets feel so good. Why shouldn't you wake up like that every day? Spend money on your mattress and bedding because these things make a difference on your sleep and, ultimately, your happiness.

While they would have provided financial support if I had needed it, the greatest support my parents gave was emotional, psychological.

What Mexicans want and aspire to, is to go there and work temporarily and raise some money and come back home. That's what they want, so nobody's asking for those two, three million Mexicans that are illegally in the United States to become American citizens.

We all should be proud of the United States. For those of us that came from the Dominican, we've been able to come here, work, make money and become somebody in our lives. We've gotten a huge opportunity from the U.S.
