I always remember my dad's blue overalls and the blue overcoat he wore in winter, and I remember my mum's big old Afro. Sometimes, though, in my memories, smudges have replaced their faces.

My memory is not that good anymore.

I've built a career in one of the toughest, most ruthless industries in the world. You can't do that unless you're completely with it.

I hope that people look at my whole career and appreciate that I've given everything that I've got.

The key to understanding my career is that I was never into technology. From the beginning, I brought an outsider's point of view, which is why I write for a layman's publication.

I prefer career artists that have spent time honing their craft, as opposed to, 'I won a karaoke contest on a reality show and now I have a record.' That's such a drag. The music that comes out of it is so poor.

I despise stereotypes. A gay man can be a macho athlete, or he can be an interior designer or any career in between.
