My first memory of motor racing - I think it was just attending a go kart race.

It changes from track-to-track, but when you are behind someone, you know after a few laps where they are weaker and stronger around the lap. You try to position yourself in the best possible way to attack them at a point they don't expect or at the point that they are just not as strong as you. That's how you try to get past.

You always try to fight for yourself, isn't it? You try to do the best possible job.

Of course I am doing a good job, but you can always improve, and I just leave it up to people outside, around me or whatever, to judge on that.

There are a lot of middle of the road artists of the '70s, who aren't being played anyplace. I think it's unfortunate in a way, because it stifles you sort of, you don't get to as many people but I've had a long and wonderful career, I have no complaints.

I love my job. And I get to work with cool people.

In a career, when you hit 40 and you've done a lot of this and that, you want to try some new things. I feel like that as a director, too, from one film to the other.

Pressure is part and parcel of our career.
