Just because I am private person doesn't mean I am not a good person.

I think the good part about me as a personality is in spite of being in the industry for more than 20 years, I didn't really face any controversy in my life.

Now the point of comedy is not just looking funny, it's use of language. We have at our disposal a great language... and the imaginative, creative use of that language can be at the service of humour.

I grew up in Singapore, and I went to Australia for law school, and after law school, I started doing stand-up comedy.

I think there's a certain objectivity that comes from being Canadian. You're partly British and partly American; you have a good bird's-eye view of both countries. So much of the comedy that comes out of Canada is impersonation - it's less 'look at me' than it is 'look at me playing other people.'
