Growing up, I didn't have a lot of role models - Bonnie Raitt, Lita Ford, Jennifer Batten.

I aim to inspire a bunch of female guitar players to get out there and take it seriously and never give up.

There's a lot of players I look up to, and I hope that I can be a role model to young female guitar players. Hopefully they can believe in themselves more.

There aren't too many female guitar players.

Many great stories are father issues, mother issues or death.

I don't like family stories forcefully mixed with commercial elements.

You can talk about movies all you want, but I have this porcelain fetish. I've had it since I was a kid, because there were so many kids in my family, the only place I had any solace was in the bathroom.

I've seen my own kids go through their own ups and downs, and as a mother, you want to make it better.
