We're all Americans trying to compete. Magic was competing for his team and Larry for his team.

You look at today, it's a different situation. You have a game that has been transformed into a game where almost every shot is either an outside shot - a three-point shot - or a dunk.

Now, I guess, people want stars. People are trying to invent stars.

We worked for 11 years to get where we are today, and I want to take our work seriously so that later on I'll be able to appreciate the money we've made.

I think every job I do, I sort of look for the challenge in. I mean, that's why we do this job. It's not, you know, obviously not for the money or for the fame, it's for, I guess finding out more about yourself.

When I started to make more or less serious money - for those times - then, of course, I wanted to show everyone that life is different: it's a new kind of life; we are earning this money. We wanted to pay taxes and live honestly.

I really don't spend my money that much unless I'm reinvesting in my business.
