I didn't choose to write a military man as much as Vince Haven chose me.

Each time I reach a goal or read a great review, I am beyond pleased.

The first book I sat down to write was an historical romance. It was really bad and thankfully no one ever saw it.

I finished 'The Hunger Games' trilogy, and I love most anything with zombies.

When I was growing up, there was still that narrative of 'you finish school, you go and get married, you become somebody's wife and you get kids and tend to them.' I think it is really important to reach for something.

I think of love and marriage in the same way I do plants: We have perennials and annuals. The perennial plant blooms, goes away, and comes back. The annual blooms for just a season, and then winter arrives and takes it out for good. But it's still enriched the soil for the next flower to bloom. In the same way, no love is wasted.

I don't want to get into a debate. I have never talked about my first marriage for that reason. I don't think it would be fair to my daughter. I don't think it would be fair to my second wife. That's the past.

I am all for love marriage. I am not the kind of person who can be instructed to fall in love. I am not saying that it cannot happen. Most of my family members met the person and decided to get married. Their marriages have worked beautifully.
