Some people are always critical of vague statements. I tend rather to be critical of precise statements; they are the only ones which can correctly be labeled 'wrong'.

Racism and injustice and violence sweep our world, bringing a tragic harvest of heartache and death.

But I love the hot sweat. I think overheating onstage is invigorating. It's better than being comfortable. I think being comfortable is the death of a show.

Of course, we avoid death. To know something is inevitable is one thing. To accept, to truly feel it... that's different.

You think, eventually, that nothing can disturb you and that your nerves are impregnable. Yet, looking down at that familiar face, I realized that death is something to which we never become calloused.
