It is time for new leadership, new direction, and new results in Washington, D.C., and that is why I am running for United States Senate.

I will always support a vote. The constitution gives the president the right to appoint justices with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Senate does have the right to say no; they do not have the right to say nothing.

The people have the right to know whether or not the person they elect has the capacity to represent them.

You have to be committed to the people and willing to do what is in their best interest even when it isn't in your best interest, and you have to be committed to getting results even if you don't get the credit.

People in Israel are sick and tired of the old politics.

Everybody's for democracy in principle. It's only in practice that the thing gives rise to stiff objections.

Democracy only has substance if there's the rule of law. That is, if people believe that the votes are going to be counted, and they are counted. If they believe that there's a judiciary out there that will make sense of things if there's some challenge. If there isn't rule of law, people will be afraid to vote the way they want to vote.

I am a sportsman and not a politician. I am a sportsman and will always remain one. I am not going to enter politics giving up cricket, which is my life. I will continue to play cricket.
