I can't see what's wrong about assuming intelligence in your audience and what's bad news about being rewarded for assuming that.

I don't know what the next frontier is, but good comedy should put its toe into taboo waters. You have to transgress a little bit, and that area shifts with culture and with the year.

At least in making an action film, there's always going to be someone who wants to see a car chase. Even if a lot of the people don't like it, there will be a lot of people that do. But bad comedy is just garbage.

I think I have a natural, if I can say that, got a kind of natural ability in comedy.
