Nothing comes without hard work. I've been taught that by many people growing up.

My dream as an actor growing up was always to challenge myself to different genres, different roles, and it's actually rare that an actor's given that opportunity to do that.

If I start thinking, 'Is this movie going to open? Is this movie going to do well?' I'm not focusing on the job. The job is to make a good movie.

I guess winning an Oscar is the ultimate dream. A lot of amazing actors go their whole career without even being nominated. So that would definitely be a goal to reach. It's a difficult one, but I'm aiming for it!

Family Secrets' is thought provoking, well written, and remorselessly intelligent.

If you know people, it's so much more fun working with them because it's like your family is back together again.

When President Kennedy come to West Virginia, he spoke about West Virginia and the people that gave the people here pride. And my family, my father remembers when President Kennedy was in Logan County and at places like the smokehouse, standing on chairs, talking to people.

I truly believe the art's larger than the artist. Who cares about John Steinbeck? I care about the Joad family.
