Every teenager feels like a freak. It's part of being a teenager, part of the individuation from child to adult - those teenage years are who am I? What am I? Where am I going?

I'd like to see more female heads of studios because what's also being crucially lost is the female perspective: 50% of the population are not having their stories told.

I hope when people see that female-led production companies are working, there will be more of us.

Telling women's stories is really important.

I pledge as Taoiseach to use my office, for as long as I hold it, to advance the cause of LGBT rights, to press for marriage equality across Ireland, to speak up for LGBT rights around the world where they are under attack, and to push for the implementation of the sexual health strategy here at home at a time when it is more important than ever.

It's great to fall head over heels in love at a fast pace, and nothing's more romantic, but you need to look after yourself.

I would love to do a Fred Astaire/Gene Kelly type movie musical - a fun, song and dance, romantic comedy. Or, even just play the lead in one of those broad comedies - that would just be fantastic.

When you admit that you are married, people try to get skeletons out of your closet. They dig into your personal lives and link you with strangers, which could be detrimental. They also want to know details about your marriage, children, and so on. I wanted to keep it private because I only want my work to speak.
