I am growing with my audience. When I made my debut, I was 24, and they have grown up with me. They are with me with each choice of mine.

When I was growing up, I heard horror stories about producers losing their houses overnight. No matter who the family is, hearing of them getting evicted is very sad.

I realise that women don't want to get treated differently but just equally. I don't know what feminism is all about, but I understand that women should be treated equally, and I endorse that thought.

I wanted to be performer; like, I used to dance at weddings. I felt acting was my calling, and that is something I wanted to do.

As children we had traveled only in cars and led a lavish lifestyle. After father and we parted ways, we had little money to afford even petrol; I used to travel to the Tollygunge studios in the south of the city from our Dumdum home in the north by bus. I would do any role that came my way: hero's friend, or brother, or son, just about anything.

I do see things that are funny on the net. I Googled myself the other day and found out that I was worth $250m, and that I was the highest-paid guy in show business! I wish so hard it was true. It is, of course, the complete opposite. I'm neither rich nor do I make a lot of money.

I have a passion for music; I love music. But I also have a passion for money and paying my bills.

City Year resonated with me because when I grew up, we were poor - and an education is a way out of poverty. It's a way out of the current situation that can seem isolating and hopeless for some kids.
