Subconsciously, there was always an actor inside me. But while growing up, it was a very normal childhood because my dad never got films to the dining table and never discussed films.

When I was growing up, my father never got his profession to the house. We didn't discuss films on the dining table.

A hero could be anyone who does something heroic, irrespective of the gender.

Whatever understanding I have of filmmaking is because of my stint as an assistant director on 'Gangs of Wasseypur.'

My career choices aren't based on the popularity of my character; I have never intended to capitalise on my fan base.

Frankly, we actresses are so much in a hurry. We feel we have very few years to shine in our career, so we neglect our personal life. But for me, both aspects are equally important. I don't want to grow old and have regrets.

There have been a lot of memorable meals in my life and in my career.

I love comics work, and I hope I never stop doing it. But at the same time, I have my own law practice that I've built up over quite a while - it's been more than a decade that I've spent building that business - so it seems a little premature to just shut it down after nine months of working at a high level in comics. We'll see.
