I admire artists who really take risks and aren't afraid to do smaller movies and obscure, abstract things. It would be really cool if my career neared that.

I've always loved cemeteries since I was a kid. They're very calm.

The thing about Toronto is that it's so versatile. There are so many different areas in it, that look like different places, that you can set almost anything there.

I'm into a lot of different types of music - pretty much everything from blue grass to jazz to dub step to metal to indie experimental and progressive.

Everyone has a different path. I knew no one in the acting industry growing up. I never did a play until college. I was not outspoken when I was younger and I hated being the center of attention. But I had a dream of being an actor. I went to NYU and studied theatre. I learned a craft. And began my career straight out of college.

Any way that I can use my career or my platform to push along transgender visibility in the mainstream and society serves me on a personal level in that it will make day-to-day existence when I'm not doing this that much easier.

I am hoping for a long career.

Even when I had three Hindi films happening at the same time, Tamil and Telugu will always be an important industry considering I started my career there.
