I have this really morbid, awesome love for the movie 'Black Swan.'

It's easier than you might think to make a difference in a kid's life. There are no special requirements you have to have - you just kind of have to love the kids, and that comes naturally for me.

I worked on this Showtime series called 'Beggars and Choosers,' this was like 2000, and Bea Arthur guest-starred on our show. I always loved 'The Golden Girls,' and thought she was a supreme comedy actress, supreme actress period.

A family is a group of people who are committed to loving and supporting one another. It's just that simple.

I grew up in an average middle-class family. I don't think I even knew any friends who were fostered or adopted.

We have a lot of historical and religious baggage in our culture. It's ancient; we are clannish as a species. We like things to fit into boxes, and it's unfortunate because humans are unique and should be celebrated and embraced as such.

I think that every time you bring a subject into the mainstream landscape of television, it can have a huge impact. Television is such an influential medium.
