The beauty of not growing up middle class is that you don't think like the middle class. You don't have anything to protect, you know what I mean?

At the end of the day, my career is not going to be judged by one or two or three moments in time. It'll be judged by the longevity of it.

Guys like Rogan literally want to ruin my career. That's unbelievably cruel and hurtful, and I never want to be that guy.

I never want to forget that my job is to make people laugh.

I remember as a boy when the conversation on civil rights was won in the South. I remember a time when one of my friends made a racist joke and another said, 'Hey man, we don't go for that anymore.'

I love doing comedy.

In a band with humor, it's easy to be a caricature, especially when you've been around as long as we have. But we sing those songs as genuine as we can, always from the heart. When we do the fish sounds in 'Rock Lobster,' Cindy and I are pouring our hearts out.

I experimented with my own one-man show a couple of years ago in Aspen when HBO used to have their comedy festival there. I called it 'A History of Me.'
